CID to track girl

Muzaffarpur, Nov. 2: A CID team arrived in the town on Friday to investigate the abduction case of 13-year-old Nabaruna Chakravarty alias Nirula.

The Class VII student of St Xavier’s Public School went missing from her home at Jawaharlal Road under the jurisdiction of the Town police station early on September 19 morning. Her father, Atul Chakravarty, lodged an FIR of abduction at Town police station the same day.

The CID team accompanied by deputy superintendent of police (town) Upendra Prasad met Atul, wife Maitri Chakravarty and neighbours on Friday.

They also met Nirula’s school friends. Sources said the police are suspecting property dealers who have been coercing Atul to sell off his ancestral property in the town. The cops would be interrogating the suspects soon.

The Bengali community in the town, have started protesting against delay in recovery of the girl.

The Bihar Bengali Samiti members took out a procession on Thursday evening and staged a demonstration in front of Town police station.
