Weekend fun for little ones

Weekends for Club Solitaire members are full of fun, action-packed games and buckets full of popcorn! Children’s Movie Festival presented by Club Solitaire, in association with Priya Entertainments, is screening popular movies for children every Sunday.

More than 500 members of Club Solitaire, the subscriber loyalty programme from The Telegraph, Anandabazar Patrika and TTIS, rushed to Priya Cinemas on May 27 to catch a screening of Kung Fu Panda and see their Dragon Warrior Po doing some Kung Fu stunts. Some even got themselves clicked with a cut-out of their favourite panda. “It is lovely to see children visit Priya to watch these films. I just hope this continues as I believe we have the strength to make it happen 52 weeks in a year and not just five Sundays,” said Arijit Dutta of Priya Entertainments.

Don’t miss Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (June 3) and The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn (June 10).

There’s more! Kids also participated in Gam-a-thon at Timezone, South City. Divided into three age groups, from 8-20, the gaming geeks knocked each other out in the qualifying rounds on May 26-27 in games like Air Hockey and F Bike. Watch out for the finals on June 3. The big wins? Bicycles, Sony PSP and BlackBerry Curve.
