Mission Plus II admission begins

Students seeking admission to Class XI in ISC schools in the state capital have to act fast as most institutes have decided to issue forms only for a few days.

Notre Dame Academy and Loyola High School will issue forms for ICSE students on May 23 and May 24 for ICSE passouts, while St Joseph’s Convent High School has started the process,

St Dominic Savio’s High School will issue forms from May 28 till June 8. A source in the school said forms would be distributed for students from all boards. The last date for submission of forms is June 8, while the written test would be conducted on June 11.

The source added: “June 11 and June 12 are the two days for direct admission. In the science stream, 85 per cent is the cut-off mark for ICSE students, while nine is the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) for CBSE students. Besides, they should have ‘A’ grade in mathematics, science and English. Those with CGPA 8 would have to appear for written examinations.”

In the commerce stream, students from ICSE and other boards need to have 75 per cent, while those with 60 per cent and above have to take the written test. CBSE students need to have CGPA 8 and grade ‘A’ in English, mathematics and another subject.

The humanities stream requires CGPA 6 and grade ‘A’ in two subjects (including English) and ‘B’ in another subject for direct admissions. Those getting a minimum of 50 per cent would have to sit in the written examination.

BD Public School director S.B. Rai said: “Students from any board need to have a minimum 90 per cent to get admission to the science stream, while the cut-off mark in the commerce stream is 80 per cent.”
