Cyclone raze Oscar

Imphal, April 5: Cyclone Club humbled Oscar Club by a mammoth margin of 214 runs in the MCA Classification Tournament at Luwangpokpa cricket ground today.

Cyclone batsman Akshaykumar Singh missed his ton by three runs, scoring 97 runs from 90 balls while Nar Singh scored 92 runs from 82 balls to steady the innings. Ishorjit Singh with 20 runs and Roben with 17 runs helped Cyclone post 262/6 from 40 overs.

Johny picked up four wickets while Krishnanda and Rakesh got two wickets each for Oscar.

In reply, Oscar were bundled out for a mere 48/10 from 22 overs.

Cyclone bowler Santosh picked up two wickets while Wilson and Somorjit bagged a wicket each. Akshaykumar got the Man of the Match award for his 97 runs.

Youths win: Youth Organisation Sporting Club held Birchandra Memorial Sporting Club 1-1 in the Manchester United Premier Cup U-15 Selection Competition at Khuman Lampak main stadium.
