3 injured in Adityapur mishap

Three persons were seriously injured when the SUV they were travelling in hit a World Truck chassis at the toll bridge crossing on accident-prone Adityapur-Kandra Road around 11am on Tuesday.

The victims, who are undergoing treatment at Tata Main Hospital, could not be identified, as they are yet to regain consciousness.

According to sources, the speeding SUV was coming from Adityapur and the multi-axle chassis from the opposite direction. After taking a turn at the toll bridge crossing, the four-wheeler rammed into the chassis. The SUV, along with the oil tanker of the chassis, were badly damaged. The SUV had to be towed away.

Adityapur OC K.N. Choudhary said: “The driver of the speeding SUV lost control while taking the turn.”
