Lajong venue

Shillong, Nov. 25: After the Khuman Lampak stadium in Imphal, Shillong Lajong FC has opted for Nehru Stadium in Guwahati as the next home match venue against Mumbai FC on December 11.

Confirming the development, the club’s general secretary, Larsing Ming Sawian, told The Telegraph last evening: “Since the artificial turf at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here is unlikely to be ready for the December 11 match, we have opted for Guwahati so that our fans in Shillong can afford to make it to the match venue and cheer us. We hope the turf (in Shillong) will be ready for the December 28 match against Chirag United (Kerala).”
