Brunch bonanza

Add a dash of flavour to your Sundays. Zen, the Oriental restaurant at The Park, has introduced a Sunday brunch, starting November 16. Diners can choose from a wide array of Thai, Chinese and Japanese delicacies.

The brunch will have a combination of buffet and live cooking. The main interactive areas would be the Teppanyaki counter and the Thai curry station, where customers can custom-order their sushi or their green, red or yellow curries.

There are a variety of appetisers to select from — rich, creamy soups, dimsums, salads and wontons. Desserts are interesting too; you can try the lemongrass souffle, the green tea tiramisu or the date pancakes.

Sharad Dewan, the executive chef at The Park says, “Sunday is one day of the week when everyone likes to take it easy and have a long, relaxed meal. So a brunch is the perfect idea to have an informal afternoon with great food.” The brunch will feature a different menu each week and will be on between noon and 4pm.

A meal for one would cost Rs 800 without alcohol and Rs 1,000 with your choice of drinks.

“Calcutta loves Oriental food, and with innovative and simple dishes on our menu, and the chilled-out brunch format, it will definitely find takers,” feels Dewan.
