Jamshedpur, May 2: Civic amenities in Adityapur are all set for a facelift, thanks to an initiative taken by the Adityapur Municipal Council.

Having decided on incl- uding quality basic ameniti- es, the Adityapur Municipal Council has invited tend- ers for improving the infrastructure.

Right from installing new tubewells to replacing streetlights, different schemes to improve roads, drainage and garbage bins have been started by the Adityapur Municipal Council.

“Considering the present requirement, almost 60 tubewells are to be installed in the area. We have invit- ed tenders for the same from 28 registered contrac- tors and others yesterday,” said Mandal, the executive officer of the Adityapur Municipal Council.

More than 200 new streetlights are to be installed in this fiscal.

Contractors would also bid for supplying trash cans and build the drainage system.

At present, the Aditya- pur Municipal Council has decided to replace 27 garbage cans.

While contractors can submit the tenders for the tubewell project till May 9, the deadlines for submis- sion of tenders for upgrading the other civic amenities would be decided upon by the Adityapur Municipal Council shortly.

The construction of tubewells in Adityapur has been decided upon keeping in mind the acute water crisis the area experien- ces during the summer months, sources added.
