Gangster with Dey murder link in net

Jamshedpur, Dec. 22: Paramjit Singh, reportedly the major link between shooters and conspirators in the Ashish Dey murder case, has been nabbed from Chas near Bokaro this morning.

A special team of East Singhbhum police raided the criminal’s hideout and also detained one of his associates, Bijay Yadav.

Although East Singhbhum superintendent of police Naveen Kumar Singh claimed that the goon was held from Workers’ Flat in Baridih, one of the officers in the raiding team said the gangster was indeed arrested at Chas.

A senior police officer in Bokaro also confirmed Paramjit’s arrest from Chas. “Paramjit, wanted in the murder case, was arrested along with another goon Bijay Yadav from a rented house at Chas this morning by a team of East Singhbhum police, which later took the accused with them,” said the officer on condition of anonymity.

Last month, the police arrested prime suspect Jitender Singh, alias Pappu, who revealed during interrogation that Paramjit had given him a contract to kill Dey. Paramjit’s associate Kartik Munda, held near Pardih on Thursday, during 48-hour non-stop grilling, revealed Paramjit’s hideout.

“We are at present grilling Paramjit about his role in the Dey murder case,” Singh said, adding the criminal too would be sent for narco-analysis test.
