Raina stays focused

Calcutta: Suresh Raina is focused on the Ranji tie against Bengal and not losing sleep over making a comeback to the national side.

“This is just the start of the season. I need to keep getting runs and am confident about that. Right now I’m just concentrating on this match,” Raina said.

Raina, who underwent surgery on his left leg, has scored a double century and a century in Ranji Trophy this season.

Raina said the Eden pitch was not a problem. “Our bowlers bowled well and hit the right areas. We are aiming for an outright win,” he said.

The left-hander said they too would have batted if they won the toss. “We would have batted too… The pitch was not hard though there was a bit of grass. The wicket isn’t getting slower.”
