December 19 at Rabindra Sadan; 6 pm: Prangan (Mumbai) felicitates Suchitra Mitra along with the launch of its music album produced by HM; classical music by Rukmabai Sengupta and Sudindra Bhowmick; and Riturag (a ballet set to Indian classical music and Tagore songs). December 20 at Nazrul Mancha; 5 pm: A programme, in aid of Sahanagar Girls’ High School, as a tribute to Satinath Mukhopadhyay and to felicitate Utpala Sen, features popular singers and film personalities.

Basu Memorial Hall, Jadavpur University; 10 am - 6 pm: The School of Fundamental Research, in association with India Canada Environment Facility and All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, hosts a seminar on the findings of an extensive research at Technology Park dealing with critical issues pertaining to arsenic mitigation and behaviour of arsenic in raw, untreated water.
