Barcelona: Barcelona and Brazil forward Ronaldinho has been ruled out of action for four to five weeks due to a pulled muscle on his right leg, the Spanish club’s medical staff announced on Monday.
World Cup winner Ronaldinho, who joined Barcelona last season from Paris St Germain, sustained the injury at the start of Barcelona’s 2-1 win over Real Betis on Sunday.
The injury means that Ronaldinho will be unavailable for two of Brazil’s World Cup 2006 qualifiers, against Peru in Lima on Sunday and away to Uruguay in Curitiba next Wednesday.
Ronaldinho’s World Cup winning teammate Roberto Carlos will also miss these two matches through injury. (Reuters)
