Oct. 20 (PTI): Syndicate Bank has reported a 50.79 per cent rise in net to Rs 216.45 crore in April-September 2003 from Rs 143.54 crore in the year-ago period. The bank’s deposits grew 12.53 per cent at Rs 30,963 crore in the first half of 2003-04 from Rs 27,384 crore year-on-year.
The bank said the board had decided to pay an interim dividend of 10 per cent subject to approval of the Reserve Bank of India.
Union Bank net up 82%
Union Bank Of India has posted a net profit of Rs 169.87 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 compared with Rs 93.36 crore in the year-ago period, registering a rise of 81.95 per cent. Total income was up 8.99 per cent to Rs 1,285.01 crore in the reporting period compared with Rs 1,179.1 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
Blue Star net at Rs 8.22 crore
Blue Star Ltd has posted a 6.33 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 8.22 crore in April-September, 2003, compared with Rs 7.73 crore in the same period last year.
