2000 Years of Indian Textiles — The Trade from the East and West,
being coordinated by Ms Rosemary Crill, senior curator of the Asian section of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, features 25 speakers both from within the country and abroad, who will present papers on various aspects of India’s textile trade over the cnturies. Also, vendor booths will be set up by individual entrepreneurs promoting craft skills and reviving old traditions. The booths will feature sale and promotion of quality contemporary and traditional handicraft items. Participants: Weavers Studio, Kashmir Loom Co, Aavartan, Rehwa Society, Tai Gallery, Adithi, K.G Arts, Empress fashions and Rajasthan Fabrics & Arts.
