Calcutta: Leander Paes will be back ‘home’ from his Orlando base on September 21.
The tennis star, who has been recuperating at his Orlando apartment for the past two weeks after being discharged from the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, will mainly be resting in Mumbai.
“The Mumbai-based Dr B.S. Singhal, who co-ordinated the treatment with the medical team in Orlando, will monitor his progress… If any more tests need to be done, he’ll have them in Mumbai,” Dr Vece Paes informed The Telegraph on Friday night.
The Paes family is waiting eagerly for next Thursday’s MRI report which will show whether the cyst in the brain has shrunk.
Dr Paes confirmed that Leander still hopes to compete with David Rikl at the season-ending Masters Doubles Championship in Houston.
