Paris, Aug. 30 (AFP): Athletics legend Edwin Moses is set to make an astonishing return to the sport, it was revealed by the BBC. The former world record-holder and two-time Olympic 400m hurdles champion is to hold a press conference on Sunday — also his 48th birthday and the anniversary of when he set his last world record in 1983.
He is expected to confirm his bid to gain a place on next year’s USA Olympic team. His last competitive race was when he took bronze in the 1988 Olympic final.
Close friend and fellow-Olympic champion Sebastian Coe let it slip while commentating for BBC Radio Five Live during Friday’s session at the world athletic championships.
