August 20 -26 at Sasha, 27 Mirza Ghalib Street: Sasha hosts a week-long ‘Crafts Week’ for children. Beginning with an exhibition on childrens’ products including toys made of cloth, wood and other eco -friendly materials, to be inaugurated at 11.30 am by veteran theatreperson, Usha Ganguli. Incidentally, August 20 happens to be Ms Ganguli’s birthday and she will be spending the day with children at Sasha. Pottery-making, folk music, story telling and other events are also on the cards.


August 22 at Sandre Hall; 6.30 pm: Ajoy Ray will present The Genius of Miles Davis. Hosted by The Calcutta School of Music, Jazz Listener’s Forum.
