Taxi trapped between trucks A taxi was trapped between two trailer trucks late on Sunday, injuring passengers Rahina Begum, 16, and her uncle, Hakim Mohit Khan, 45, on Circular Garden Reach Road. The duo was taken to the nearest hospital and admitted for treatment. The driver of the taxi was not injured. The trucks simply sped away.
Torture blame in teen death Mystery shrouds the death of 15-year-old Khairunnissa at her uncle’s house on Jhowtala Road, in the Karaya police station area, on Sunday. Police said her neighbours claimed that the uncle, Mohammad Salauddin, had tortured her to death. Karaya police have registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.
