London The International Tennis Federation (ITF) Tuesday announced the seeds for the Davis Cup World Group play-off round. The draw will be held here Wednesday.
As expected, India weren’t seeded. Leander Paes & Co. qualified for the September 19-21 play-offs with a 4-1 rout of New Zealand. The other unseeded teams are Austria, Belarus, Canada, Ecuador, Morocco, Slovakia and Thailand.
The seeded nations are Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Germany, Britain, The Netherlands, Romania and the USA.
The play-offs will decide who all progress to the 2004 World Group alongside the eight quarter-finalists from this year’s competition — Russia, Argentina, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Spain and Croatia.
