Calcutta, March 29: One international tennis event got over at the BTA Complex Saturday. The focus will now shift to the bigger stage — South Club which will host the India versus New Zealand Davis Cup tie from Friday.
The New Zealand team, which went down 1-4 to India in Wellington last year, lands in the city Sunday morning. Not used to playing on grass, the Kiwis plan to have enough practice before the Asia-Oceania group I second round tie.
The Indians will start assembling from Sunday too with Ramesh Krishnan and Rohan Bopanna expected early.
Leander Paesis expected late Monday while Mahesh Bhupathi is due to fly in Tuesday.
