Wijk Aan Zee (The Netherlands): Indian Grandmaster Vishwanathan Anand was held to a draw by Loek Van Wely of The Netherlands in a third round match of the 65th Corus chess tournament here on Tuesday.
Second seed Anand, who went to the game half a point behind tournament leader Evgeny Bareev of Russia, started the board on a positive note playing with white. Displaying tremendous skill, both the players went through the opening moves quickly.
They agreed for a draw after 27 moves. The game lasted just about an hour and half. This was Anandís second draw in his third match. (PTI)
