Chennai: Digvijay Singh carded a three-under 67 to take a five-stroke lead at the halfway stage of the third leg of the Royal Challenge Grand Prix at the par-70 Madras Gymkhana Golf course Friday.
Digvijay holed a 10-footer for a birdie on the fifth hole, followed by a birdie putt on the par-five seventh. He then picked up two strokes on the par-five in the 12th hole, where he hit his six-iron second shot over the green and chipped in for an eagle to get to four-under for the day.
Another birdie on the 14th hole saw him well placed to card a five-under-par for the day.
Meanwhile, Mukesh Kumar moved up the leader board with a 67, taking his 36-hole total to four-under 136 and is currently tied alongside Feroz Ali, Sanjay Kumar, S Murthy and D. S. Raghuvanshi.
