December 27, 28 & 30: Anandam (Mumbai) has organised a two-day Bengali drama festival to raise funds for cancer patients. December 28 at Aban Mahal (CLT) Dhakuria; 5 pm: To celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Sarada Maa, Sree Satyananda Mahapeeth hosts a cultural programme featuring a musical soiree, Sabar Apan Ma, presented by artistes of Sree Satyananda Sangeetpeeth, classical song by Kaushik Bhattacharya with Susamay Misra on tabla. Also, Archana Pranati, a dance recital by Ashram inmates and a dance drama: Hara-Gouri Milan. December 29 at 23 Pally Durga Mandir Hall, Harish Mukherjee Road; 6.30 pm: Shree Shree Sarada Milan Mala & Baba Alauddin Memorial Committee present an evening of classical music featuring Prabal Choudhury (sitar) and Debshankar Dibedi (dhrupad). December 29 at the Vivekananda Hall, The Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture; 5.30 pm: An evening ofclassical music featuring (1) tabla lahara by Anindyo Chatterjee and Anubrata Chaterjee, with Ramesh Misra on sarangi; (2) Aaman Ali Bangash (sarod) with Bikram Ghosh (tabla); and (3) Ghulam Mustafa Khan (vocal) with Sabir Khan (tabla).

Today at Srijan, 176, Sarat Bose Road; 6 pm: A poetry reading session featuring Chinmoy Guha Thakurata, Neeta Sen Samarth and Dewakar Goel. They will reading their poems in Bangla, Hindi and English. Today at Oxford Bookstore, 17, Park Street: Shringar Films & Oxford Bookstore jointly host a reading from the film script of Mr and Mrs Iyer by Konkona Sen Sharma and Rahul Bose. This will be followed by an interactive session with the director of the film, Aparna Sen.
