Hyderabad: The second World Chess cup came to a close at the Ramoji Film City Monday with Vishwanathan Anand and Xu Yuhua being crowned champions.
A glittering crystal trophy, specially designed by artisans of Indore was presented to Anand. Xu Yuhuan, the Chinese Grandmaster was presented with an equally luminous trophy. Anand won a cash prize of $46,000 while runner-up Rustam Kasimdhzanov of Uzbekistan bagged $24,000. Indian Grandmaster Koneru Humpy was also one of the recipients of the cash prize.
