Abbott Q3 net at Rs 12 cr
Abbott India Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 12.25 crore for the third quarter ended August 31, 2002. The total income (net of excise) in the reporting period stood at Rs 98.95 crore, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. In the third quarter ended September 2001 of previous fiscal, the net profit and total income were Rs 12.17 crore and Rs 91.53 crore respectively. In the year 2001, the company changed its accounting year ending from December 31 to November 30. As such the figures for the current quarter ended August 31, 2002 are not directly comparable with the corresponding figures for the quarter ended September 30, 2001.
Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) has bagged engineering, procurement and construction contract worth $ 25 million from Kuwait National Petroleum Company for revamp of sulphur recovery units at its refineries. The two projects are located at Shuaiba and Mina Abdullah and valued at $ 14.1 million and $ 10.7 million respectively, a company release said.
Fitch Ratings has affirmed AAA (Ind) debt rating to Reliance Industries following completion of its merger with Reliance Petroleum (RPL). The agency simultaneously withdrew the AA+ rating accorded to RPL, a release said.
