New Delhi, Sept. 7 (PTI): Jeev Milkha Singh fired a one-under 70 to earn a weekend pairing with world No. 3 Ernie Els of South Africa at the Omega European Masters at Crans-Sur-Sierre in Switzerland.
According to information received here, Jeev shot a level-par 71 in the first round to aggregate one-under 141 and was tied for 40th place at the halfway stage of the 1.5 million euro meet.
Els had rounds of 70 and 71 and is also tied for the 40th place at one-under 141.
Robert Karlsson continued his remarkable show, when a second round 66 extended his overnight lead to four with his 11-under par total of 131.
Jeev had an mixed round yesterday, hiting six birdies and five bogies. Starting from the tenth tee, he was three-over after four holes before he dropped strokes on the 10th, 11th and 13th holes. He then hit a purple patch with a hattrick of birdies from the 14th.
