Calcutta, Sept. 7: Defending champion Mukesh Kumar set a course record for four rounds to lift the Hindu Open title with an 18-under-par 270 at the Cosmo-TNGF link in Chennai today.
For the first time in five rounds of the season, Mukesh remained the first pro to win an event being the leader for all four rounds. The MHOW pro also holds the course record at nine-under set last year at the TNGF open.
According to information received here, Mukesh ended the final round with a five-under 67 and received Rs 1,13,400, besides the trophy.
City boy Firoz Ali was the runner-up with a tally of 275, followed by Digvijay Singh of Meerut with 278.
