Roads to avoid

Southern Avenue. Work is in progress on the drainage pumping station. ewer line relocation work on AJC Bose Road has necessitated the following changes in traffic flow: A portion of the northern flank of AJC Bose Road and JL Nehru Road will be closed.

Chess

The 15th edition of The Telegraph School Chess, presented by Horlicks, at Gorky Sadan from 3.30 pm to 7 pm.

Music

‘Music from Distant Shores’, a presentation of Pink Floyd by Ashish Thukral, and a live performance by Insomnia, organised by Srijan, at 176, Sarat Bose Road, 6.30 pm.

Workshop

A seven-day workshop on Odissi music, organised by Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, at Aikatan, Salt Lake, from 10 am to 5 pm.

On stage

A drama festival, presented by Pancham Vaidic, at Antaranga Natmancha, Ranikuthi. Kathakatay Aagamani will be staged at 6 pm.

Films

Dreamland Japan, a festival of animation films, at Seagull Arts and Media Resource Centre. Yoshiaki Kawajiri’s Wicked City will be screened at 6 pm.

Hard Talk

Moushumi Ghosh, CPI councillor of CMC’s ward no. 36, will meet residents of the Sealdah-Rajabazar area to answer their queries at her ward office on Maharani Swarnomoyee Road, off the Mother Dairy booth, at 8 pm. All are welcome.
