The International Conference on Media, Culture & Audience, held at Swami Vivekananda University from September 28th to 30th, 2023, provided a platform for profound discussions on contemporary issues and challenges in media representation and development communication.

This dynamic conference delved into the intricate dilemmas surrounding the portrayal of audiences in media narratives and engaged media professionals and academicians from diverse backgrounds, including the USA and Bangladesh, who tackled critical topics related to media politics and current political issues. While the event did not finalise any Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with other academic institutions, it fostered collaboration in research, joint publications, and faculty and student exchange programs.

Prof. Melkote, often referred to as the "Father of Development Communication," presented an alternative roadmap for sustainable societal growth and well-being in the context of contemporary "Development and Development Communication" dilemmas. His insights provided valuable perspectives on addressing these complex challenges.
