Lakshmipat Singhania Academy hosted the 11th edition of exe.BIT, the biggest and the only IT fest of the city on 12 and 13of August 2022. The theme this time was “Eternal and Immortal—Towards the Future of IT”. As many as 26 schools participated including national and international ones in various events of the fest. Exe.BIT 2022 began with the auspicious inauguration ceremony. The ceremony attained its grace by the wonderful and motivating words of the Chief Guest, Mr. Sandeep Sengupta, the Managing Director of the Indian School of Ethical Hacking. The guiding light of the institution, Meena Kak, Director, Lakshmipat Singhania Academy in her speech said, “With the advent of technology, children now know how to use IT skillfully. Even the education system has become entwined with it. But I feel that children also need to give equal importance to social values in order to progress in life. Technology is a gift only if it is handled with care.”

The school band later took upon the stage to energize the audience with a wonderful opening song. The demonstration of ‘Fit Free’, an AI powered yoga trainer application made by the students of LSA also took place. There were more than 25 events for the participants to showcase their talents. The different events that were organised over a period of two days were: qwertyRUSH, LogoART, slideSTORY, Paint It All!, Aeronautic, sciFIND, scratchYourHead, FAQ, fashionMATRIX, DOODLE, codesCOOK Jr., createAPK, Nukkad Natak, (3D) J’ing, CLICK, E-Publish, FilmIT, investmentDEN, eGAMES-MINECRAFT, discoverIT, VLOGumentary, Construiré La Café, iCARE and Thrift-venture.

Exe.BIT this time was a perfect amalgamation of both the online and offline events portraying the true essence of “Hybrid” mode of the info-tech world. The students from various schools had an enriching and exciting experience of participating in the events which were clearly evident on their faces. As said by the judges, “Overall the events were great to watch and very informative and had their own personality” it was truly a bag of mixed ideas and experiences cherished by all. In Mr.Sandeep Sengupta’s words, ‘ExeBIT, the IT fest of LSA stepping in the 11th year is shaping the young geeks into Innovative and yet responsible citizens. The atmosphere was electrifying. The maturity and talent that was exhibited on that day, has only increased my high esteem about the reputed institution. The school is contributing to the best for a successful digital India ahead.’

The school’s Vice-Principal, Ma’am Jaya Misra delivered the vote of thanks, marking the end of the inaugural programme. With the grand success of exe.BIT 2022, Lakshmipat Singhania Academy aims to return with an even more wonderful and upgraded version of the IT fest next year.
