Never give up on your dreams ~ Ankita Agarwal, a Delhi Public School Ruby Park graduate, demonstrated this when she earned the second-best overall ranking in India for the UPSC 2022 exam. She attended a gathering at her alma mater on Monday, August 8, where she was honoured by the principal, Ms Joyoti Chaudhuri. Students in grades X and XII made up the crowd as the UPSC Rank Holder spoke about her experience. Ms Agarwal emphasised that passing the UPSC is a nerve-wracking examination and that aspirants must be prepared for the demanding work ethics it demands.

Only individuals who have a genuine interest in the field, as well as those who are attentive and careful in their work, should engage in it. She advised aspirants for the Civil Services Exam to regularly read the news and modern Indian nonfiction, particularly the works of Dr Amartya Sen and Dr Ramchandra Guha, who had given her a deeper understanding of Indian culture at the grassroots level.
