Summary
The three-day event began on August 1st and ended on August 3rd, 2022. Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy's Aquatic Training Centre hosted the Swimming Competition.
63 schools representing the North-East and West Bengal regions of the nation participated.

Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School, Barrackpore, held the CISCE North East and West Bengal Swimming Competition 2022. The three-day event began on August 1st and ended on August 3rd, 2022. Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy's Aquatic Training Centre hosted the Swimming Competition.

Mr Debabrata Das, Inspector General of Police, Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy, proclaimed the event open. Mr Ranjan Mitter, Regional Secretary of West Bengal and the North East, also attended the event. During the inauguration ceremony, kids from the host school performed an opening dance. The students also performed the school song. The school's principal addressed the large crowd. The event began shortly following the recital of the National Anthem.

On Day 2 of the event, there were a number of dignitaries. The presence of Shri Gautam Chakraborty, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Kolkata Police) SVSPA, Mr Subrata Kumar Paul, WBPS, Chief Law Instructor at SVSPA, Mr Amit Kr Singh, IPS, Vice Principal at SVSPA, and Mr Asoke Nath Chattopadhyay, WBPS, Chief Drill Instructor at SVSPA, Barrackpore, West Bengal encouraged the swimmers.

‘The 3-day Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, West Bengal and North East Regional Swimming Meet,2022 from 1st August 2022 to 3rd August 2022 was the unfolding of sheer will, driving force, dexterity and skills in the most potent element of Nature- “Water”. The competitors from 63 schools glided, rolled, tumbled and kicked in the water as much as they wanted to with electrifying Energy… Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School, Barrackpore looks forward to hosting such events of great magnitude in the coming future,’ said Mrs Sonia Gidla, Principal of Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School.

63 schools representing the North-East and West Bengal regions of the nation participated. With the award presentation, the three-day mega event came to an end.

Ms Simpal Majumdar of La Martiniere for Girls won the prize for Best Energetic Coach. La Martiniere School for Boys and La Martiniere for Girls were chosen as the Best Schools for Under 14-year-olds, respectively. La Martiniere for Boys once again took home the title of Best School for Boys in the Under-17 category, while Modern High School for Girls took home the prize for Best School for Girls. The medal for the Best School for Boys in the Under 19 Category was split between Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School and La Martiniere School for Boys. La Martiniere for Girls was the winner of the Overall Champion Trophy.
