Calcutta: A State government (Finance deptt) letter, dated July 8, has permitted the Royal Calcutta Turf Club (RCTC) to conduct ‘online’ betting on horse racing. The approval letter, however, states that any computer server and/or any other machines utilized for acceptances of online wagering should be located within the premises of RCTC race course under the Hastings P.S. and shall function as a link to the existing totalisator for the purpose of wagering as per the existing Act and Rules.
