Youthopia ‘23: Sachin-Jigar set the stage on fire on the final night of the inter-school event

It was in that spirit of bonhomie that drew Youthopia ‘23 to a close on 28 April. The evening concert by the acclaimed musical duo Sachin-Jigar formed the crux of attraction for everyone present.

The crowd swole as the evening fell, and the air of celebration settled in heavy. “We are here to enjoy the concert and celebrate our success,” stated Subhradip Safui of Delhi Public School, Ruby Park, who won the Badminton (boys) event at Youthopia ‘23.

The Telegraph Online Edugraph was present on the ground on the final day of the event and it was at 6:25 pm, that the wait was finally over. As Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya took the stage in a power-packed performance. The duo along with their band churned out their hits one after another, including Kamariya, Milegi Milegi, Saibo, Sun Saathiyan, and Apna Bana Le.

An enraptured audience was also treated to other popular musical pieces such as Channa Mereya, Chaand Baaliyan, Piya Re Piya Re, Pasoori, and Afreen Afreen. At one point, Mr. Sanghvi jumped down the stage to dance with the students, much to their delight.

The charged atmosphere and the fever of excitement that ran through the crowd, was well managed by the young organisers of Youthopia ‘23. The Core Team of the event arranged and coordinated the concert, with the support of everyone present, mentioned Tanay Maskara, President of Youthopia ’23 and School Captain of The Heritage School.

Their effort was lauded by the other schools as well, as Aditya Mukherjee from GD Goenka Public School, Dakshineswar, stated: “It was a good part played by the (Youthopia) team, of pulling (off) such a big event.”

The Sachin-Jigar concert was supposed to be held on the 27 April, but was postponed to the next day because of the sudden downpour on the scheduled evening.
