What makes the 50 finalists of The Telegraph Edugraph 18 Under 18 special is the wide range of skills and interests these young minds exhibit, along with a drive to excel in their fields.

A first-of-its-kind initiative, The Telegraph Edugraph 18 Under 18 has been instituted to recognise young achievers under the age of 18 from eastern India. It encourages institutions to nominate their best talents from areas such as dance, music, art, acting, design, conservation, debate, quiz, public speaking, technology and innovation, and all-round performance, with the objective to provide them a platform to shine on.

Next, a panel of celebrated jury members will choose 18 achievers from the top 50 after a round of interviews.

The jury consists of singer-songwriter Anupam Roy; grandmaster Dibyendu Barua; psychiatrist Jai Ranjan Ram; Olympic shooter and Arjuna award winner Joydeep Karmakar; author and professor Kunal Basu; actress Paoli Dam; professor and former director of IIT Kharagpur Partha Pratim Chakrabarti; Jungle Crows founder Paul Walsh; and dancer-actress Sreenanda Shankar.

The 18 achievers will then be felicitated in a ceremony, with trophies, gift hampers and certificates. All the remaining finalists will receive certificates of participation.

The Telegraph Edugraph 18 Under 18 is presented by the Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM) Kolkata, powered by the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) and co-powered by Vivekananda Mission School, Joka.
