The Heritage School, Kolkata, celebrated its 23rd Foundation Day marking the completion of 22 years of excellence in education. To make the moment significant and momentous, the School organised its 21st Annual Prize Day Ceremony today.

The entire event was graced by Mr. Gerry Arathoon, Chief Executive & Secretary, Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) as the Chief Guest.

During the event, Mr. Gerry Arathoon shared some of the new measures the Council is taking to imbibe quality education among the students following the NEP 2020. He also appreciated the way The Heritage School has grown up over the years and also congratulated this year’s All India ISC Topper from the School, Ms. Manya Gupta and Mr. Apratim Gangopadhyay, who had secured All India Merit position 3 in ICSE as well. “We are proud to have The Heritage School, Kolkata, as one of the affiliated schools in India and I thank the management of the School for the commitment and dedication in offering quality education that had set high standards over the years,” said Mr. Gerry Arathoon during the inaugural address.

Shri Vikram Swarup, Chairman, School Managing Committee, The Heritage School recalled some of the nostalgic moments since the inception of the School. Shri H.K. Chaudhary, Chairman, Heritage Group of Institutions spoke about the vision of the Group starting from School Education to Higher Education and beyond. The other Trustee members of the School also congratulated the teachers, students, parents, and staff for their efforts in creating a ‘School with a Difference’ thus celebrating this momentous occasion. The students also experienced the Prize Distribution Ceremony for which they had been waiting for a long time.

The Sajjan Bhajanka Award of Excellence in Education was launched today and was presented to Ms. Manya Gupta, All India ISC Topper 2023 from the School with a token of appreciation amounting to Rs. 1 lakhs presented by Shri Sajjan Bhajanka, Founding Trustee of the Heritage Group of Institutions and Secretary of Kalyan Bharti Trust. The Principal’s Trophy was also given to Ms. Manya Gupta making the event a milestone in the archives of Heritage Group of Institutions. Moreover, Shri Vikram Swarup, Chairman, School Managing Committee and Vice Chairman, Heritage Group of Institutions, presented the Chairman's Award of Excellence along with a token of appreciation amounting to Rs. 50000/- to Mr. Apratim Gangopadhyay, ICSE School Topper and All India Merit position 3.

The event also witnessed the launch of the School annual magazine 'Vrittant' for the year 2023.

“The Heritage School is launching new programmes as value additions to the existing curriculum in the future which will definitely help the students to achieve excellence in various verticals. Moreover, these programmes will also help us to rediscover and reimagine our School education following the current NEP,” said Ms. Seema Sapru, Principal, The Heritage School, Kolkata.

The programme was also addressed by Ms. Runa Chatterjee, Headmistress, The Heritage School, Mr. Darryl Christopher Christensen, Headmaster of The Heritage School, parents of the School, and teachers.
