PHOTON, esteemed photography club of The Heritage College, organized PHOTAGE’24, a national level photography event in collaboration with the CANON India as workshop and photography partner, that brought together nearly 30 esteemed colleges and universities with over 150 participants to compete in various events.

The events included a Photography Exhibition, Mobile Photography, Reel making, Photo story, Debate, Photo editing, and a Short film. More than 100 people joined the two-day photography workshop conducted by Canon India.

The event was structured to facilitate the participants' showcase of talents and innovative ideas. In addition to photography, the event witnessed a debate competition, which is the best way to reflect one’s interpretation and thought process.

Great painter and artist Samir Aich graced the inaugural session of PHOTAGE’24 as a special guest of honour along with Boidurjyo Chowdhury, an eminent lead guitarist of Bengali Rock Band 'Cactus'.

The event was also graced by the mentors like Anindo Basu, Rajib Chandra, Abhishek Ghosh and Milan Dutta from Canon India. The Debate competition was judged by Shourya Chowdhury from All India Radio, Kolkata; Dr Dyuti Chatterjee, Assistant professor of St Xavier’s University and Prof Rinita Das from St Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata.
