Indian Institute of Art and Design organised a one-day conference on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the design industry. The event, titled “AI in Design Business – a disruptor or an enabler?”, brought together industry leaders, designers, and students to discuss and debate the role of AI in the design industry.

The Industry Conclave 2023 had an esteemed panel of experts from various prominent brands, such as, Aditi Garg (Creative Head - Boat Lifestyle), Akhil Chopra (Sr. Creative Director- Schbang), Shivani Gupta (Principal Designer- House of Lalittya), Saransh Agarwal (Design Director- Grid Design Studio by Squareboat), Harsh Vardhan (Principal- Studio Lotus), to name a few.

The occasion gave students up-to-date information on the evolving design ecosystem and insights into what to expect from potential employers, both now and in the future. It also provided a platform for students to showcase their talent before industry specialists. For the industry and design community, the event highlighted the strengths of the IIAD students in terms of their preparedness and exposure. It also allowed students to understand the current and future skill requirements in the industry.
