Heritage Law College’s induction and orientation programme, Concord 2024, concluded with great enthusiasm and inspiration, marking a significant beginning for the students of this esteemed institution. The inaugural session of the programme commenced on September 25, 2024, with the event being honoured by the presence of Justice Ashoke Kumar Dasadhikari, former Judge of the Calcutta High Court, as the Chief Guest, and Shymal Kumar Sarkar, Senior Advocate at the Calcutta High Court, as the Guest of Honour.
Addressing the gathering, Justice Dasadhikari delved into the evolving landscape of legal education, providing invaluable insights into the challenges and abundant career opportunities awaiting law graduates in the near future. Sharing from his extensive experience, Shymal Kumar Sarkar captivated the audience with accounts of the practical cases he has handled, emphasising how budding law graduates can sharpen their focus on the real world aspects of legal education.
The Concord 2024 programme wasn’t just limited to insights into legal careers. It encompassed a broader spectrum of sessions designed to prepare students for both their professional and personal journeys. Expert speakers, including Arthur Cardozo, Joydeep Dasgupta, BK Sister Asmita from Brahma Kumaris, and Charles Hogg, National Coordinator of Brahma Kumaris Australia, conducted sessions on crucial topics such as Digital Hygiene, Life Skills, and more, offering students a holistic learning experience that extended beyond textbooks.

Following the induction programme, the eagerly awaited Graduation Day ceremony took place, where degree certificates were handed over by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour to the recently graduated students, celebrating their academic achievements and marking the culmination of their journey at the college.
Reflecting on the institution’s growth, Prof S S Chatterji, Director of Heritage Law College, remarked, "Heritage Law College started its journey in 2015 with 66 students and now the Institute has more than 700 students. Within these nine years, the Institute has grown phenomenally.” This remarkable growth underscores the college's commitment to excellence and its dedication to nurturing future legal professionals.
Adding to this vision, PK Agarwal, CEO of the Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata, emphasised the college’s adherence to modern educational trends, stating "After the introduction of NEP 2020, a multidisciplinary approach has been incorporated into the education sector. I am sure this also applies to legal education and at Heritage Law College, we focus on this approach to offer students a holistic education."
