On 21 February, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, observed International Mother Language Day at the Heritage campus.

An art exhibition was organised by different clubs of Heritage Institute of Technology to make the day recall some of the greatest historical facts which made this day important for the entire world.

During the inaugural ceremony, the Principal of Heritage Institute of Technology, Prof. Basab Chaudhuri spoke about the importance of this day and made the students understand why it is necessary to appreciate our Mother language which symbolises harmony across the world. As a matter of fact, the Mother language does not coincide with any religion henceforth a country's culture and historical facts germinate in this Language that is very much necessary for everyone to know and appreciate.
