The Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata students were given a presentation by Mr Koushik Nath, Security Architect of CISCO Systems India (Pvt) Ltd, on the latest network and telecom technologies that are significantly changing the industry.

Mr Koushik provided some real-world instances of how CISCO utilised cutting-edge technology in the security and surveillance industry when describing the evolution road map and the deployment of 5G technologies in the IoT sector.

He also provided insight into the application of face recognition technology in the fight against terrorism, the prevention of burglaries, the ability of advanced technology to identify changes in objects within nanoseconds and prevent crime, and many other real-world case studies.
