Agon 2022: 4 days of excitement and exhilaration at CNMC

On 21 September 2022, CNMC began the exciting 4-days fest called AGON. The fest commenced with a flashmob, and this time the college transported Agon off campus to the revered Victoria Memorial. There were hundreds of tourists present, and they all enjoyed the team's dynamic performance.

Agon’22 provided a platform to nurture and showcase all kinds of talents and it included numerous competitions in different categories from sports, dance, drama, singing to debating, eating, gaming & writing.

The ceremonial candle was lit to mark the beginning of Agon'22. Numerous dignitaries, MPs, principals, and HODs from several departments were invited and honored. The prize distribution ceremony that followed was held to congratulate the winners from the city's colleges, both medical and non-medical.

The first day was also special because it was the night of the Agon Dinner. As is customary, the entire college gathers that day to enjoy dinner together. The presence of juniors and seniors at the dinner table added to the Biryani's already excellent taste. To add more beauty to Day 1, The Band 'Fakira' also performed and made everyone vibe to 'Paal Tule dey'.

Band Night on Day 2 featured "Ehsaas India" and "Somlata and the Aces." Everyone was mesmerised by Somlata's lovely voice. The audience was fascinated by the performance.

On the third day of Agon'22, DJ Nilashree and DJ Aziz took the stage for DJ Night. It was one of the crowd's most memorable nights since everyone danced nonstop.

Even though Agon’22 was nearing an end, joy abounded because it was the most significant day. It was time for The Gala Night to see Salim and Suleman, two legendary musicians, play on the college campus.

Needless to mention Salim Merchant, Sulaiman Merchant, Sukriti Kakkar, Raj Pandit, and Vipul Mehta made the evening magical with their beautiful songs. From Kurban Hua to Shukran Allah, from Ainvayi Ainvayi to Chak De India, it was a mesmerizing experience for everyone. The core committee felt surreal as the final day of Agon'22 was a big success. The junior batch led by example and met the standards set by the seniors.

Agon 2k22 concluded with the lighting of a bonfire and the popping of firecrackers and the passing of the organising baton to the upcoming group. The college also got DJ Roop on campus to celebrate the achievement and keep the celebration from ending. The Batch of 2019 has continued the tradition, and Agon 2k23 will return the next year bigger and better.
