The 9th National Children’s Literary Festival (NCLF) of KiiT International School was flagged off on 25 November. The event, the first and only of its kind in India for school students, is being attended by more than 1000 students from 75 schools across the country.

NCLF is the brainchild of Dr Samanta, who is also the Founder of KIIT & KISS. KiiT International School was also founded by him in 2007.

Dr. Monalisa Bal has manifested this dream and bloomed this brainchild into the most successful children's literary festival of India. She envisioned the entire scope of the literary festival, taking it ahead for the contemporary crowd with her unconventional perspective. Each year, she reimagines the idea of NCLF to make it bigger and better, providing the students with a platform to not only meet their favorite literary leaders but also get a boost for free thoughts and an independent mind.

World-renowned children’s writer Padma Bhushan Ruskin Bond will adorn the festival virtually.

The two-day fest also covered diverse areas from freedom of expression, politics, violence, environment, spirituality, stories of love, lust and relationships, travel and ethics.

It featured Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif, Indian reality star Prince Narula, storyteller Geeta Ramanujam, Indian novelist and writer Sudeep Nagarkar and a unique ‘Out of the Box Production’.
