Five soldiers shot in Fort Stewart shooting, suspect taken into custody: US Army

Law enforcement was dispatched for a possible shooting in the 2nd ABCT complex at 10:56 a.m

Five soldiers were shot and wounded on Wednesday morning at the Fort Stewart U.S. Army installation in Georgia before the shooter was taken into custody, the Army said in a statement.

"Law enforcement was dispatched for a possible shooting in the 2nd ABCT complex at 10:56 a.m. The shooter was apprehended at 11:35 a.m.," it said in a Facebook post.

The Army did not provide more information about the seriousness of the injuries.
