Earthquake of magnitude 5.7 strikes Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Afghanistan's mountainous Hindu Kush region on Friday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ)said. The quake was at a depth of 79 km (49 miles), GFZ said.
