Kolkata: At least five injured in multi-storey building fire in Tiljala

At least five people were injured after a fire broke out at a multi-storey building in Tiljala area of Kolkata on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The blaze erupted around 1.45 pm at the building on GJ Khan Road under the jurisdiction of the Tiljala police station, they said.

Four fire tenders took two hours to douse the flames, a senior police officer said.

"The five injured are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. The condition of two of them is stated to be critical," he said.
