Covid: Bengal logs 1,499 new cases, 483 recoveries, three deaths

Bengal on Saturday reported 1,499 new Covid-19 infections, 483 recoveries and three deaths, with the case positivity rate rising to 14.94 per cent.

There currently are 9,290 positive cases — 8,931 in home isolation and 359 in hospital.

The mortality rate remained at 1.04 per cent according to Saturday’s government bulletin.

The state’s recovery rate was 98.50 per cent on Saturday, when 10,036 samples were tested.
