Justice Shivkant Prasad of Calcutta High Court on Monday rejected the petition moved by Chandrima Roy, wife of BJP’s Hemtabad MLA Debendra Nath Roy, to seek a CBI probe into her husband’s death.

Roy, 61, was found hanging at a shop near his home in Hemtabad, north Bengal, on July 13. The petition was rejected after state advocate general Kishore Datta said that the CID had been engaged to probe the case.
