BSF arrests two Bangla nationals from different locations in Cooch Behar district

Both the accused were handed over to Kuchlibari police

Two Bangladeshis were nabbed by the BSF from different locations in Cooch Behar district on Wednesday.

Md. Liton Ali, who is from Nilphamari district of Bangladesh, was nabbed near the panchayat office in Fulkadabri of Cooch Behar on Wednesday evening while he was roaming around. Indian, Bangladeshi and Malaysian currencies were seized from him.

Ali revealed that he had infiltrated into India through an unfenced area of the international border eight months back and gone to Kerala for livelihood. He had infiltrated back into his country ahead of the recent general election in Bangladesh. After the polls, he illegally entered India again and was planning to go to Kerala.

Md. Sahin Sodesh from Noakhali district of Bangladesh was nabbed while he was illegally trying to enter Bangladesh from India. He had been to Tamil Nadu and wanted to go back home.

Both were handed over to Kuchlibari police.
