Covid-19: Bengal logs 296 new infections, one death

Bengal on Tuesday reported 296 new Covid-19 infections, 183 recoveries and one death.

The recovery rate was 98.87 per cent and mortality rate 1.02 per cent. Case positivity rate was 3.65 per cent on a day 8,108 samples were tested.

Currently, there are 2,343 active cases in the state: 2,232 in home isolation and 111 in hospitals, according to a state bulletin.
